Perhaps

Our challenge today is to use imagery...

Perhaps
Sam C

Perhaps a pile of stones
Chipped and shaped into a giant;

Or plumage, woven
Into the finest fabric.

Imagine a river,
Created with hatred, into a cobra;

Or the horizon line,
Twisted and forged into a soldier's sword.

Perhaps
Molly

Perhaps a fistful of stars
Woven into a golden neckless;

Or the world as a painting
Drawn into imagination.

Perhaps a braided rainbow
Arched over the land.

Or a hurricane
Stretching and twisting into the horizon.

Perhaps the silver moon
Molded into the midnight sky.

Waiting...

Possibly
Emma

Possibly raindrops made into crystals
Or leaves into charms, giving luck.

Possibly raindrops sewn into scarves
Or flower petals as earrings.

Possibly grass plaited into friendship bracelets.
Or clouds melted into snow.

Possibly.

Imagine
Evelyn

Imagine her hair falling from her scalp like a waterfall.
Stars shine in her hair as she wanders.

Imagine her wings expanding from her back
Taking her far away
Over the land of miracles.

As she sleeps her blanket of sky covers her.

Imagine her dress, alight with fire
As she wanders through the forest.

She stops.

Imagine the trees guarding the palace of pearls,
Her home.

The Knight
Max

What if the silver moon, and the golden sun
Could be forged, and hammered, into the blade of the gods;

and the stars shaped and filtered into the shield,
The sword's brother.

Then, with the heat of fire, magic of water, solidity of earth, and weight of air,
A suit of armour is made.

With the power of life a warrior is created
A wielder for the sword and shield.
A wearer for armour.

To Give
Lydia

Perhaps a rainbow
To bring colour to a blind person's eyes

Or leaves sewn from spider's silk
To create wings to take you far away from your troubles.

Perhaps wind to blow away devious thoughts
Or sun's rays to pierce
Through a cold heart.

Imagine
Madoka

A firework as your soul
Motivating you in your dreams.

Or a strip of a rainbow carefully picked
And plaited into a friendship bracelet.

Imagine a shooting star
Carved into a hairclip
For your golden locks.

Or the sun's rays chipped into darts
Piercing into your heart.

A necklace made of snowflakes
As a present for someone special.

Or a pirouetting leaf
As a lost dream.

Imagine the moon sewn into a harp
With spider's silk.

Imagine...

Imagine
Evie

Imagine the sky, folded,
Stuffed with cloud and sewn into a silver cushion;

or earth's soil
Stretched and coiled into a tablecloth.

Maybe the leaves
Woven with petals into wings;

or the world's whiteness
Curved and pulled into a lone plate.

What if a fresh meadow
Was trimmed and cut into the soft carpet of a house;

or the line of the horizon
Swirling into the thought of a dream.

Perhaps the orange plumage of a kea
Used in the vibrant colours of a painting;

or the drops of light from a waterfall
Splashed together creating a mirror of you.

Imagine...

What If
Baxter

Perhaps a bright rainbow, a band of hope
For the poor.

Or a strong hailstorm as a stress ball
For the people who are angry.

Perhaps lightning guides people
To safety at night.

What If
Lyndon

What if the trees of the earth flew high
Up in the sky spreading their branches like beautiful birds;

or the rocks for air tanks when diving
in the deep milky sapphire sea.

What if the waterfalls from the cliffs,
Were woven into warm scarves for the frigid winter;

or the amber sun's like the powerful stinging flail.

What If
Luci

What if ice formed into a painting,
and hung on the wall of a museum.
Or a fistful of hail
as change for buying jellybeans.

Perhaps the silvery moonlit night
could make an island
of creatures
only seen in legends,
or an apple could be
a bonanza ship of pirates
sailing over the seven seas.

Imagine a tree's leaves
were sewn into a lush green field
or a star made into a go frisbee
pirouetting into another's hand.

Maybe a mountain embroidered
with gold and silver sequins
to make a leather handbag
or an eel woven into a blanket
wrapped around a child.
