Inquiry Sharing

Today we have had families and other students in to view our electrical items. This learning has created so much excitement in Room 12 and we have had a huge amount on children teaching children that has been so effective. Experts have come to the fore in our class, and everyone has created an item powered by electricity. Have a look at some of them below.

The soldering and resistors needed to create a face!

After much difficulty Amelia and Sophie (and Amelia's dad!) created an awesome face.

Many traffic lights were made.

Jake's electromagnetic crane was very popular with other students. A complex creation made after much consultation with Mitre 10.

Ngaire and Fritha's cows light up when you flick the switch.

Louie's original walking can.

Kyan loved making his lantern.

Isabella, Bonni and Evie were frustrated trying to create an IPod charger.

Louis' windmill.

Findlay was hugely ambitious in making a ten pin bowling alley!

Huge thanks must go to John, Findlay's grandfather, who is an electrical engineer, who gave us so many tips for our creations.

Congratulations Team, what exciting learning!
