Our Discrimination Presentations

This week we have been presenting our inquiry topic learning to the class. We have learnt so much from each other. Did you know:

• That some mothers kill their female babies? This is called Infanticide. Evelyn told us about this.
• That Hungary was taken over by Communist rule? Conal told us this.
• Six million Jews were killed during World War II? Evie told us this frightening fact.
• Aboriginal children and mothers were taken in cars to white families. After a short time the car would stop and throw the mother out leaving the child alone. Sam D told us this.
• Some parents don't want their children in a class with a child who has a disability? Thanks Emma.
• Some children in the USA have been attacked because they have ginger hair? Molly told us this.
• During Apartheid blacks and whites in South Africa had separate beaches? Wow Oliver.
• Members of the Ku Klux Klan wear white robes covering their faces and big white hats? Thanks Lyndon.
