I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

We read a poem of this title today. We talked about words like freedom, liberty and dreams.
Some of the poems were the best I have heard all year, the children are sooo proud of their writing. We are certainly achieving our goal of making the reader feel something - Ms Saxon has goosebumps!!
