End of a Huge Year

Our year together in Room 12 is coming to an end.
The students have been very reflective over the past week in sharing how much they have changed and the lessons they have learned. Some have included:
  • "It's not all about me!"
  • Iceskating yesterday
  • Ngaire growing in confidence
  • Everyone has encouraged other people in the class when they have put themselves out there
  • How much our vocabulary has grown
  • Kyan having a huge change in his attitude
  • Claudia having so much confidence now
  • Bonni changing herself and people trusting her now
  • Camp at Living Springs was a huge highlight (especially the monorail)
  • Making cupcakes with Miss Rowe
  • Learning how to find the circumference of a circle using Pi!
  • Jake solving the Rubik's cube - FAST!
  • Louis grading to black tip in Tae Kwon Do
  • Amelia and Maia having the courage to go on the monorail at camp
  • Braeden growing up heaps and learning to handle heaps of stuff
  • Findlay being a scientist!
  • Going to Lincoln University to do robotics
  • Friends!
  • Choosing topics for reading inquiries
  • Art!
  • Chloe winning Canterbury 1000m
  • Hatchett
  • Lion Boy
  • Singing
  • Dance competition
  • Syndicate interchange
  • Claudia's iceskating test
  • Lit Quiz!
  • Listening to authors
  • Friday sports
  • Ms Saxon getting her fifth degree black belt
  • High marks in ICAS exams
  • Fiesta!

There are so many highlights, more than we can remember, and so many children have come so far. Thank you for your ongoing support and for making my job a pleasure.
