Last night I watched all the movies at the S'Mart Film Festival -
Lights, Camera, Action.
I know I am biased, but... I have to say I was so proud of
Ghostishocks and the Haunted Socks. This movie has been totally created, from start to finish, by the students of Room 12. We wrote what we knew was a great story right at the start of the term. It was clever, funny, and with a great twist on the original Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Louie decided that our film should start and end with a poem - so he wrote them! Kyan and Fritha took charge of the storyboarding. Ngaire, Adam, Paige and Sophie sorted the script. A location crew went out and staked out the best spots to film crucial parts of our movie, a set was cleverly created by Ruby and Amelia. It was all go!!
Louie and Fritha co-operated to co-direct the action. Jake led the camera crew. Findlay and his team immediately began the editing process, working out what was needed and what order the parts needed to go in. Green screening was given a go, two boys, Louis and Finn, in particular really put themselves outside their comfort zone. The music team added their expertise. Masses of learning was happening with everyone involved. I could just sit back and watch the children lead an amazing product.
Last night I heard people laugh, I heard people comment on the clever creation that Room 12 had made, and I could not have been more proud.
Congratulations Team, you guys created something amazing!
Ms Saxon.
