Tremendous Trees
Sam C
Trees wave
Rustling over the land
Looking oddly sick
The colour of lime.
Exquisite leaves,
Fingering the air
Perishing in the breeze,
Wilting in the wind.
Conquering the earth,
Bent over,
Like a gnarled tree root
Caressing the grass.
Glitter
Evie
Glassy glitter eludes the ground
Looming over streaks of green
Preventing growth.
Gnarled hands flow up
As the sun's eyes peep over the hills
Life appears in a flourish.
Frost cowers
Weeping in the warmth
Soaking away...
Miracle
Sam D
Mist floats above the streets
Sun beams through piercing the mist
Mist rises up forming a cloud.
Sun beams down
Gradually forming a coloured archway
The mist fades away.
Nature's Wonders
Conal
Glittering coldness startles the land
As the wall of ice lives
Weeping in the warmth of the day
Sunlight returns.
Full with power
The sun is strong
Glaciers helpless
Growing smaller
Betrayed.
Glaciers are nothing
Just gentle, lapping water
Filtering the sand
Sparkling, sparkling.
The trees bathe in the shallows
Dancing to the tune of the wind.
Miracles
Madoka
As the mist clears
Opening the way
Opening the way for mother nature's painting brushes
To dance in the open space.
Gently dabbing their heads in seven coloured pallets
Then stroking their hair on the turquoise sky
Forming a coloured artwork
That curves over the land.
The sun's rays fall to the ground
As she gently wraps her hands around earth
Sharing energy with everyone.
We never wrote poetry like this when I was school! Great work.
