Fractions!

We are currently working on understanding fractions, decimals and percentages in maths.

This morning our circles group was working on finding fractions of sets.

1/3 of 9 = 3
1/5 of 25 = 5

Our circles who know their timetables were really great at this!

Our triangles and squares have been learning to convert improper fractions. We drew fractions circles to help us at first and then some of us realised that if we knew our division facts we could work these out quickly.

10/3 = 3 1/3
18/4 = 4 1/2

Many children find the concepts associated with fractions pretty tricky, so far we are doing extremely well!!
