Amelia's favourite book was Northwood by Brian Falkner. This is about a girl called Cecilia who lives in a balloon house. She wants to look after her neighbour's dog which she takes without her neighbour knowing. She flies away in the balloon over the forest and they need to find a way out... This fitted into the adventure genre.
